Waiting Patiently
"God is not the God of the quick fix. Neither is He the Lord of the instant. He takes His time growing an oak from an acorn and allows the long winter to prepare the earth for the warmth of spring. But it is precisely the promise of spring that makes the winter more palatable, and it is the certainly that an oak lies hidden within the acorn that makes bearable to wait for the tree to grow.
Why, we wonder, does God take His time? No doubt His reasons are many and profound..." (from The One Year Devotion For Men by Stuart Briscoe)
Yes, everything takes time, be it fast or slow. Sometimes we (I) really wanted things to happen the way I want at the exact timing that I could possibly meet. But often, the more we (I) crave for things to happen the way we (I) wanted, the higher the disappointment will be. A lesson learnt - what we (I) wanted might not be the way God planned for the individuals. 'We' (I) means we are limited and 'God' means He is limitless. Simple as that and somehow, simple concept like this could turn out on what we termed as 'complicated situation'.
Generally, everyone has their own 'complicated situation' -- problems. And its mainly dwelling with things from this world such as materialism which includes money, fashion, technology etc. Besides that, another thing from this world is also none other than what we (I) always hope for - the want for love (not Love).
Since we are not perfect, the things we want can only satisfy our earthly body 'physically'. We do not know whether it is Right or right. Therefore handing the situation to God is the wisest choice for He always know what is Right and right for us.
Therefore, I know that I could count on the Lord's planning for me as Right when I hand over all the things I wanted and needed (including worldly things) in my life to Him who will help me sort out and give it to me at the Right time - His time.
In conclusion, His time is made unknown to us (me) thus, waiting patiently for His time is always the Right solution!
Eugene.
