Army
Time flies.
The next phase of my life is starting or has already started. The phases of my life are getting tougher each time. But it is God whom brought me through every phase of my life in this world. Not forgetting the trials He gave me which moulded me quite a lot.
And now, this is my next phase of my life - army. I hope that I can use this phase of my life to continue to please the Almighty. Although I know that its going to be 'painful' but this 'pain' is only allowed in my life for 1 purpose - to mould me. For non-Christian, 'Mould' means to change my personality and character to be more Christ-like.
Perhaps after the initial 9 weeks of training, I will get the feel of army life and get adapted to it quickly so that it will not becoming a burden to me when it comes to any environment in tekong and the food especially the combat ration. (Heard a lot of people don't like to eat combat ration due to its 'pungent' smell. lol..)
For Christians who are reading this blog, I would hope that you can pray for me. Below is the prayer list:
1. Perform well enough in terms of leadership and discipline so that I can be selected for officer cadet school (OCS) and apply for scholarship so that I can disrupt the bond and go for further studies.
2. Influence others through my testimonial for Christ and spread the Living Words.
3. To be a servant always.
4. To thank Him on everything. Both good and bad.
If you have any prayer request, please tag along. Thanks. I also want to thank those who have already been praying for me.
The weather is rainy while I am typing this blog. I am now feeling cozy and sleepy in my room. The bed is just beside me with my pillows and a nice blanket. It is a good time to sleep. My mum is at the kitchen cooking and my cat is at her little basket taking a nap. It is a typical afternoon for me. Perhaps I will not experience this kind of afternoon that often after tomorrow. Haha..
I wonder how would be the afternoons in tekong during this time. I thank God for whatever I will be experiencing then. I just pray that God give me sufficient strength to do what is needed of me, even if I am being punished or doing the things that I dislike.
I have recently found this interesting and funny clip on youtube showing how army life is. Please feel free to click on the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BEfA_1gCWVc
