When Boy Meets Girl (BPC camp 20-22 June 07)
Praise the Lord. The camp was a success. All thanks to the servants of Christ for hosting and organizing this outstanding camp. Although it was not an easy event to be organized, we made it through with His help. Amen!
As the camp’s theme goes – when boy meets girl, we have invited a speaker to speak on a topic related to the theme on the first day of the camp.
Perhaps I summaries what pastor xu have said in regard of starting a relationship:
There are some questions we need to ask ourselves when we are finding a life partner –
1. What is your attitude when you are finding a partner?
2. Have you ever think of whether the partner you are finding will be your marriage partner in time to come?
3. Are you committed to this relationship?
I say until you are sure of these questions, the very first relationship of yours will be the last relationship that you will have on earth because this partner is specially chosen for you.
Another important thing in taking flight in this relationship is that it should never be placed BEFORE your relationship with God. In other words, we must all love God first. To refine a relationship, one needs to be patient for all things are with respect to God’s timing and His master plan. This, is a healthy relationship.
So if we still hang on to it and try do everything ourselves, it will not be a glorifying relationship and surely, it will eventually fails.
