Marry the woman you love and Love the woman you marry is not at all the same.
When you marry the woman you love, you still do not know him/her much. An example could be all the bad habits which one shows later in a marriage. You cannot tolerate and therefore leads to a failing marriage eventually. This kind of love begins with lust and set itself as the foundation. Due to this weak foundation, it can only cater for a short period of time before it reaches its maximum bearing capacity and fails.
However, when you Love the woman you marry, you will find yourself living in love itself and nothing is more important than this relationship except for the Love for Christ. 1Cor 13:7 states that Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. In this relationship, Love itself is the foundation and the bearing capacity is infinity or immeasurable. You will accept all things from him/her despite knowing all his/her bad habits and weaknesses because you love this person with Love and this kind of Love is patient and kind; does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. (1Cor 13:4-6)
Relationships which sets Love as its foundation is not easy to build. It requires tons of reinforcements compare to lust foundation. In order to build this robust foundation, the reinforcements need to be fortified with the Love of God first before it is installed and bind with the correct content of cement from the love for each other. Tested and proven. Relationships like this can last throughout our stay here on earth before proceeding to another level – that is when we leave for Home.
