Obeying God
It may sound easy but its always hard to execute it. For the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. Obeying God is never an easy task. Because we are not perfect and therefore trying to be like Christ seems so hard. But don't give up.
Pray and ask for obedience : and He will help you to live His way – the way of becoming a person He created you to be.
Pray when you are unwilling to obey : Doing the things you dislike pissed you off? Pray for a humble and a servant's heart to do the things you dislike. God's plan for you is so great that your way of life can never be compared to His way for your life. Therefore when we do things we don't like simply because we know we need to do them, character is built in us.
Pray for your unanswered prayers : Ever feel frustrated and sad because you don't see answers to your prayers? Ask God if it is because of disobedience. Is any area of your life where you are not obeying Him? Ask Him to reveal to you. Don't keep telling God what you want without asking Him what He wants.
Reasons to obey God? Here are some* of them :
When you obey God,
1.He hears your prayers (Psalm 66:18)
2.You have a greater sense of His presence in your life (John 14:23)
3.You have greater wisdom (Proverbs 2:7)
4.You proved that you are His friend (John 15:14)
5.You live in safety (Leviticus 25:18)
6.You become a more loving person (1 John 2:5)
7.Good things happen to you (Deuteronomy 11:26-27)
8.You have peace (Psalms 37:37)
9.You are happier (Proverbs 29:18)
10.You will live longer (Proverbs 3:1-2)
